THE GOSPEL
You can know — for certain — where you'll spend eternity.
Not "hope so." Not "probably." Certain. Here's what the Bible actually says about it, in three simple parts.
You’re a sinner and the penalty is death
1
Face it. I'm a sinner. You're a sinner. Everyone is a sinner.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
You’re a sinner and the penalty is death. Face it. I’m a sinner. You’re a sinner. Everyone is a sinner. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” We have missed the mark of perfection and fallen short of the target. You wouldn’t have to be ‘good’ to go to Heaven; you would have to be perfect, and no one is perfect but Jesus Christ. The penalty of our sin is death. You don’t owe God money, baptism, church membersip, good works, or promises to do better. You owe a death penalty.
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…”
“For the wages of sin is death…”
That's the bad news. Here's the good news —
2
The penalty of your sin is death. Jesus died for your sin. Get it? He was your substitute. When He died on the cross, He paid for every rotten sin of your life. He died for you. He loved you that much. He rose from the dead three days later to prove that He was Savior. God was completely satisfied with the death penalty that Jesus paid.
Jesus paid your price!
“But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
You can have everlasting life by believing in Him.
3
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Believing in Christ means to trust or rely upon Him fully. Won't you do this now? Don't trust in church, baptism, money, or good works. Trust in Jesus.
